As General Editor and Publisher of The Unconscious in Translation I am proud to publish new and important work by a major scholar like Professor Doctor Henry Lothane. I believe this work is not only important for psychoanalysis and the history of psychoanalysis, but has an importance that reaches far beyond psychoanalysis. It is an honor for The UIT that Dr. Lothane has chosen to have us publish this work. Personally, I am proud and honored that Dr. Lothane chose me to be involved in other aspects of his work such as choosing me to be on the committee on Free Association which he led for the International Psychoanalytic Association.
All that pride and honor pales beside my pleasure in being able to call Henry my friend.
